As your civilization progresses through the turn-based rounds you must make choices regarding which technologies to pursue, which buildings to invest in and which military units to train. The overall franchise experience that players have come to expect from the “Civilization” series is pure strategy: choose your civilization and build it up throughout history, taking it from a small village to a thriving nation. The game in question is “Civilization Revolution 2,” a purely mobile game in Sid Meier’s franchise that, until late last year, had been seen almost solely on PC and some consoles. But today’s game offers a unique challenge: How do you judge a mobile game in a franchise that primarily lives on consoles and PC? One of the most lasting franchises, and one that we’ve talked about before, is Sid Meier’s “Civilization” series.
